Yamaha YAS82ZBII Custom Z Alto Saxophone

The evolution of the Yamaha Custom Z continues. Powerful sound and the ability to play fast and passages without difficulty, the Z is crafted to meet your highest expectations. They have been re-examined from the neck to the bell and are now equipped with a one-piece bell for increased resonance and the highly regarded V1 neck for the optional combination of response and control.

YAS82Z Neck: The wide bore taper of the V1 neck provides a free-blowing feel and the greatest possible flexibility

YAS82Z Neck Receiver: The nickel silver custom style neck receiver provides a condensed tone and good response with a high rigidity. It has the flexibility to choose between the necks designed for the Custom Z and Custom EX Yamaha saxophones (sold separately).

Octave key with a ball joint to realize utmost smoothness: The octave key has a unique new ball joint design for smoother, quicker action. The new neck receiver improves the tonal resonance.

62 Shape with custom brass: Traditional body shape which makes the sound brighter and playing feel lighter. The material is optimized for the custom models.

Ergonomic Key layout  Key layout is designed to fit to humans' hands. This helps players concentrate on their performance without feeling stress. 

Integrated Key Points: This style of key posts adds a moderate resistance and makes the instrument sound as you blow into it.

Adjustable tear drop Front F Key: The unique tear-drop shaped F key improves playability. It is adjustable to players' preferences.

Mother of Pearl Key Button: Mother of Pearl is used as key buttons. It improves playability by making is easier to hold with soft but not slippery surface.

Metal Resonator pad: The metal resonators offer an outstanding response and deliver a wider dynamic range. The entire rage of the instrument has a clearer pronunciation, providing effortless playability all around.

Seesaw key: The left-handed seesaw key has been designed to increase playability as well as provide a more comfortable feel.

Two-point contact: Two-point contact is adopted for enhanced projection and a free-blowing response.

82Z Style (AS,TS): The Custom Z saxophone features a 'anemone' engraving design which is hand engraved on every instrument. Custom Z logo is the proof of craftsmanship.

Without center bow: Removing the center bow improve responses without affecting the quality of sound.

One-piece bell: Craftsmen shape the bell from a sheet of brass with a hammer. This adds a unity to the body and makes the intonation in middle lower ranger smoother. It also has as solid tone.

Without F# key (WOF options): High F# key is a standard equipment of modern saxophones. Without F# option removes the F# key, which produces the sound similar to the vintage saxophones.

Case (ASC-820): The 82Z comes equipped with lightweight case that has a shoulder strap.
