F tuba mouthpiece with a large funnel/bowl mixed style cup. Rim designed by Warren Deck - one of the most comfortable rims ever made, featuring just the right amount of width and bite to give the player a sense of comfort and stability.

The shank of this mouthpiece has been very carefully engineered to fit all tubas with the standard 'Euroshank'-type fitting (marked U) and the standard American shank fitting (marked Y).

Original lead pipes from Meinl-Weston, B&S, Yamaha, Eastman and Miraphone were used in this process. The exact matching of this mouthpiece and instrument receiver and leadpipe is vital to achieve the correct response from modern tubas.

This new mouthpiece designed by Aaron Tindall is for F tubas. It has a slight shallower cup than the AT5U and is more bowl-shaped, giving a powerful, well-centered sound which would be ideal in both orchestral and chamber music playing. The rim is designed by Warren Deck and is one the most comfortable on the market. It feautres just he right amount of width and bite to give the player a sense of comfort and stability. This mouthpiece produces a rich and vibrant sound with plenty of focus. There is a distinct 'shelf' at the bottom of the cup which helps achieve a concentrated power that gives a sound that really projects.
