The shank of this mouthpiece has been very carefully engineered to fit all tubas with the standard 'Euroshank'-type fitting (marked U) and the standard American shank fitting (marked Y).

Original lead-pipes from Meinl-Weston, B&S, Yamaha, Eastman, and Miraphone were used in this process. The exact matching of mouthpiece and instrument receiver and leadpipe is vital to achieve the correct response from modern tubas.

This new mouthpiece designed by Aaron Tindall is the largest of the range, and is designed for use in big CC and Bbb tubas. It has straight walls after the rim leading to a very wide funnel-shaped cup with a large throat. The rim is designed by Warren Deck and is on of the most comfortable on the market. It features just the right amount of width and bite to give the player a sense of comfort and stability. The mouthpiece is for strong players and produces a massive deep sound.
